These are the 3 things you need to do to have a happy retirement:

In order to ensure that you have a happy retirement, you need to focus on three things:

  • Peace of Mind
  • Diet
  • Exercise

Let’s begin with peace of mind.

Peace of mind begins with financial stability which can be achieved by creating wealth. Creating wealth can be achieved by starting an online business.  The easiest way to start an online business is to find something (a product or service) to sell and create a website.  Then you get the training and support that will enable you to market your product or service.  It does require hard work but the concept itself is really that simple. Peace of mind is also about relationships. If you can’t figure out how to improve your relationships with other people you will never have a happy retirement. 

And what about diet?  

Diet plays a huge part in your pursuit of health and your happiness. A poor diet can result in a wide range of problems from obesity, diverticulitis, high blood pressure, and all sorts of bad things. This will lead to increased doctor visits and will have a negative impact on your household budget. This will also effect how you think. You’ll worry more and will harbor negative thoughts which will limit your ability to focus on creating wealth. It is important that you learn to eat right so you can remain happy and healthy enough to focus on building your business, spend time with your friends, family, business associates, and your customers and do the things you love.

Here’s an excerpt from a post I wrote about how I thought I was about to die and how my wife pulled me from the brink of disaster…

“I’m here because I’ve been fighting the truth, ignoring the inevitable, and I refused to ask for help.  I was having painful stomach cramps for several days. I was taking over the counter medications but nothing helped. Finally my wife Margaree, who works in the medical field, demanded we go to the Hospital Emergency Room.  The duty nurse said something like, ‘you look like sh*t’ and ordered a young intern to run some tests.”

Now let’s look at exercise.

Some people cringe when they think of exercise. Don’t think of exercise a chore. Think of it as something that should be a part of your daily routine. Remember that it is vital if you want to remain active.  Especially as you get older. The key is to make exercise an enjoyable part of your daily routine. The easiest way to do this is to do something you enjoy. Take a walk around the park or in the mall. That’s about the easiest form of exercise I can think of right now. I’d recommend a daily round of golf but that can be pretty expensive so I recommend you get started creating your wealth by building your business online today! So that’s my three cents on what I think the most important thing about retirement is. Nothing is more important than to be happy and healthy. Of course there will be things that you don’t have control over. But if you do your part by eating right, exercising regularly and striving to think positive thoughts you will find yourself on the road to living a happy and healthy retirement.
