My NoMoreRack.com Online Shopping Website Review
(where the deals that seem too good to be true sometimes are legit and sometimes not).
A friend recently invited me to sign up for a free NoMoreRack.com account. My reward for doing this was a $10 discount off my first order.
Before I hopped on this enticing offer I decided to conduct a thorough review.
Here’s the enticing invitation:
So, I followed the link and I must say I was excited by all of the cool products that were available.
I was especially excited by the promo codes, special shopping events, and incredible daily deals that would make it way more affordable for MY WIFE WHO LIKES TO SHOP to buy cool stuff not only for her but me and our friends and family.
Here’s a video from a NoMoreRack member who shares his “you get what you pay for” shopping experience;
So, I signed up and was ready to do some shopping and save some money.
Then I noticed that they had an affiliate program.
“Hmmm,” I said to myself, “why not MAKE some money while I’m SAVING some money?”
So, I looked into it and saw that it was administered by Commission Junction. I have a CJ account so I logged in and added NoMoreRack to my list of partners. I was informed that I have to be accepted so while waiting , I decided to postpone my shopping spree and googled “nomorerack complaints”.
There were so many complaints that I knew something not good was going on.
On one site there were 485 one and five star reviews. Of those, 416 (85%) were rated “one star”. That’s the lowest rating by the way. Sixty nine (15%) of those reviews were rated “five stars”.
Here are a few examples of the one star reviews;

So, how did I almost fall for this? How does anyone fall for it? And why are there so many complaints? Let’s look at these questions in greater detail;
We fall for this because NoMoreRack knows how to market. They appeal to our desire for great (or cool) products at tremendous savings and by offering the average person an opportunity to make money by inviting our friends and family to take advantage of the same great deals. They do this by offering stuff like;
Daily Deals — Everyday at noon EST a number of “daily deals” are announced.
Shopping Events — Right now there is a shoe sale event that features “once in a lifetime” deals on shoes, boots, and sneakers for men women and children.
Promo Codes — Some people fall in love with the coupons and promotional codes. If you sign up you’ll get the occasional email announcing some incredible deal like coupon;
Affiliate Program — Some people get involved because of the affiliate program. To be honest, this is what first caught my eye. I LOVE to write product reviews and I figured why not get paid for writing them? But I can’t see myself endorsing products from a site that receives so many complaints?
There are so many complaints because they focus way more on marketing than they do on quality control and customer service. Some of the problem areas include;
Refunds and Returns
The vast majority of people who have dealt with this company would not recommend this shopping experience to their worst enemy. A small percentage have reported a positive shopping experience.
I’d like to see this company succeed but they have so many customer service and quality control issues that it is going to be very difficult. They have done a very good job on the front end as far as creating a website that attracts buyers but they have fallen short on the middle and back end when it comes to customer support service and quality control.
I’m going to take a chance and give it a try and I”ll be back to tell you all about my personal shopping experience.
Do you have a shopping story of your own? I’d love to hear about it. Share it in the comment section below.
