One year ago I decided to join Wealthy Affiliate to learn how to create my very own website and make money online.

Here’s my 2014 Wealthy Affiliate Website Status Report;

Within a few months I started making money. It wasn’t a lot but it was enough to convince me that I was doing the right thing.

Fast forward to the present and I’m happy to say that I’m making enough money to convince not only me but my skeptical wife as well.

Here’s a peek at 2014 Wealthy Affiliate Commission Report (this does not include earnings from Adsense, Amazon, or other sources);

I’m just putting this out there to let people know that there is an alternative to all of the get rich quick schemes, the ponzis, the illegal pyramids, the cash gifting clubs, and all of the other crap that’s out there that you may have taken a chance on and got burned. Here’s how Wealthy Affiliate compares to much of the crap that’s out there;

I’m not here to sell you anything. I’m just letting you know that Wealthy Affiliate works. Here’s the link so you can check it out and decide for yourself;  https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/createaccount/retirewealthy

My goals for 2015

As you can see from this Google Analytics visitor report, I’m averaging almost 6,000 visitors every month. My goal for 2015 is to double the amount of visitors and cut my bounce rate in half. Wealthy Affiliate has the tools to teach me how to reach these goals.

wa google analytics visitor report

As you can see from this geographical report, almost half of my visits come from the United States. My goal for 2015 is to increase the number of non-US visitors by ten percent.

My financial goal for 2015 is to increase the number of referrals to 2 per day. According to the Wealthy Affiliate commissions calculator this should result in a monthly income of $1,018. My long term goal (2016 and beyond) is to reach the numbers shown in Example Scenario 2 which should result in a monthly income of $22,398.

  1. Thanks Roland, great article about the real benefits of being a member of this awesome WA Community. The nay-sayers are all good and they will find their own program. But we, who love this whole WA experience, and trust it to take us to whatever level of financial and personal success, feel we are blessed beyond measure to be participants in it. My husband and I are just two months in, writing our review of WA, looking at the whole program – and we are almost overwhelmed by what is offered. Our website is still under construction, just one page so far. We went Annual this month, so our monthly averages about $30.00. What an excellent business investment, none better in the world we say. So thanks so much for this sharing. Have a great day.

Unlike any other scheme where people will fail to even make a dollar or end up losing thousands of dollars, Wealthy Affiliate works. I have never ever made as much money with any other program as I have with them and we’re so blessed to have found this opportunity.

This is where people like Tom will fail. He has the wrong mentality. He fails to realize that building a business takes time, persistence, and giving yourself the time to soak in all the valuable information.

Once you have the knowledge, your earnings can truly grow exponentially especially when tapping into other sources of income such as local marketing.

Much more success to you Roland 🙂

  3. Tom says:

    Okay,

So I see your commission info and I realize it’s primarily for WA revenue and may not account for the other affiliate payouts (i.e. adsense, amazon, etc), but if you add all these commission numbers together, the total is around $547 for commissions between March 21, 2014 and December 1, 2014. I’ll be generous and say this was a total of 8.5 months of time.

If you divide $547/8.5 you get around $64.35 per month. I don’t know what your adsense, amazon, etc. payouts were, but just judging from the WA-centric commissions, $64.35 in 8.5 months is not encouraging at all from the WA standpoint, especially when Kyle and Carson are charging you $47 per month just to maintain their so-called premium membership.

So what this boils down to is that, with respect to your WA commissions, you’re really only making an average of $17.35 a month after you’ve paid for your membership (subtract $47 from that $64.35 above). And that’s in 8.5 months time! Just considering how much it costs to be a premium member, how exactly is that worth it? Even WITH the Adsense, amazon, etc. From that stuff, would you even be making back the total cost of your monthly or yearly membership? If not and your only significant source of any revenue at all comes from those WA referrals (and maybe at 2 per month) are you even breaking even? Two of those $22 commissions doesn’t even fully cover the $47/mo membership fee.

Again, I don’t mean to direct this at you specifically, but more to the system. So just imagine how much less you’re making if you consider that all of your commission money is ALMOST paying your monthly membership. So that means you’re dependent on the other payout sources to rise above the water at all. AND..that depends on your niche.

I don’t think I could ever be convinced to be suckered into actually paying that kind of money to earn so little and over an acceptable amount of time. I realize it’s not a “make millions” overnight scheme, but if those two really wanted to help people earn money online and it was so easy then:

    1. They would never charge a dime for any of their services.

    2. Everyone would be doing it.

      Hi Tom,

I appreciate your comment and the fact that you actually did some analysis. I happen to enjoy WA and I’m OK with the investment and the return. Way better than all the scams that are out there.

While these earnings may not be up to snuff for you, i would just point out that the education you get in that amount of time needs to also be figured into your figures.
While I in the beginning only made a penny a month total income for the first 6 months I was a premium member of WA, yes, 6 cents, lol the education I learned allowed me to build my websites and since that time 1 k to 2 k months are common for me and I am growing by the day.

It really is how much you want to invest in YOURSELF. 🙂

I see your points Tom, but it doesn’t look like it’s based on enough experience unfortunately.

I don’t think you’ve seen the other programs out there which charge way more for the type of stuff you get in WA. And the support is really a major deal.

I think if you experiment with other programs out there and see just how far away they are from WA’s level of legitimacy, I believe you’d have a different opinion.

    • Jazmin says:

Tom I think when you say that WA should be free is ridiculous. This is not a charitable organization, It’s a platform for learning especially for those who never understood IM or have been scammed by the so called gurus out there who promise you overnight success.

Kyle and Carson have built this business for those of us who want to learn the right way of building and growing a successful online business. They could easily charge much more for all the education and tools that are included. WA will be around for a long time with many, many, many successful members who will continue on because the company actually cares about the members. WA is by far the best opportunity out there today.

      Hi Tom,
You are critiquing someone who is still building his business and is still on his way up the ladder of success!

At Wealthy Affiliate it is so much more then a membership! It is an excellent step by step education, services, tools, and an incredible community! Everything you need to build an online income!

After being scammed and learning then how to research such programs, I have found there is absolutely nothing to compare with Wealthy Affiliate!

It is not a get rich quick scam!

It is two men of integrity teaching anyone who is willing to put forth the effort, how to build a successful online income.

I am one of the members who knew almost nothing about computers or internet marketing when I began with Wealthy Affiliate and I am already seeing success!
      It is a choice!

Thanks to all my WA friends for commenting on this thread. Thank’s Tom for expressing your opinion. Maybe you’re building something online without the help of WA and if so I wish you much success. As you can see from the responses to your comment there are many of us building something online with the help of WA and we all very satisfied.

          • Jared says:

            Also WA member.
You don’t pay to learn about affiliate marketing.
You pay to learn how to sell and assist people online.
I am a commission sales person, if you are not helping somebody when you sell them something then you are manipulating them. Of course, we all respect one’s opinion, however, I do take exception to the terms, I won’t be suckered.
WA is transparent and up front. You can even miss your payments and the founders have automation to make sure they give you every benefit of the doubt as to why you missed a payment. That says to me, it is not about the money, they would not be successful and making other people accomplish their own dreams.
You don’t join the WA platform because you want to just think about spending $50 to make a $100 each month.
In fact, that thinking limits you on every level. WA is about no limits.
It is about dreams. It is about goals and realistic possibilities through hard work, determination and passion.
You join WA to build your life the right way.
I don’t think you can really put a true monetary value on everything you get for $47us (I’m Canadian so that’s annoying lol).
If you want to be suckered, sign up for the next $5 or $10 ultimate make money offered by some guru.
If you want to change your life, invest yourself and follow your passions, Join WA.
The fact there are so many replies here means the critical breakdowns we often hear as members from outside…
Obviously, not everybody feels as though they have been suckered.
Everything is a choice and WA is a wise one. Kind Regards,
            iJared

    Hi Roland,

WA has a good training program. I am a former WA member but decided to go in another direct with a different referral company that offers an opportunity much different than WA. Thousands of people are promoting the WA opportunity, kind of overkill at this point. If your interested in taking a different approach and create another income stream send me an email. Good luck!

  5. Evelyn says:

People always wonder why I like to promote WA on my site, because it works and you can make a great living from it. I’ve yet to come across a service that has as many successful enterpernuers as WA has. Wish you lots more success. 🙂

    • Roland Bonay says:

Thanks Evelyn! I’ve made more with WA in the past year than I’ve made with all of the other online wealth building programs that I’ve tried combined. One reason is because there are people like you and others in the WA community who are willing to help people like me figure out how to make money online. I wish you much continued success!
